The workshop, titled A hands-on take on modern web security covers the following topics.
- The security model of the web
- The modern TLS certificate ecosystem
- Authentication best practices (enumeration / brute force attacks)
- Multi-factor authentication
- JSON Web tokens
The workshop will consist of lecture sessions, alternated with hands-on labs. To run the lab sessions, the participants require a computer with VirtualBox installed, and hardware-based virtualization enabled. The training image containing all software will be provided up front, so it can be distributed before the start of the course.
